The manufacturing process for fiberglass windows and doors is different from traditional application. Fiberglass windows and doors are created using a pultrusion process. Glass fibers are coated in a thermoset resin and pulled through a hot die the shape of the frame or sash profile. They are pulled through the die rather than pushed or extruded through the die, hence the term pultrusion.

Heat cures the fiberglass resin to form a permanent shape, which can’t be reformed by any environmental conditions. Its strength allows for narrower frames that provide a larger window viewing area.

Superior durability means fiberglass frames will not bend, bow, rot, or twist when exposed to extreme heat or cold. Impervious to moisture and salt, fiberglass frames will not pit or corrode, making them perfect for all applications.
